Our program line-up is as follows:
Friday evening Mar 14, 7:30pm - 10pm 

(Inaugaration, Keynote followed by Reception with snacks)
Saturday 10am-6pm (includes lunch)

Eight Common Signposts to Help You Identify Health-Related Dreams

When we think of dreams, we usually expect them to offer insights regarding our psychological health and well-being; rarely do we think that they may offer credible guidance regarding our physical health. Yet according to Ayurveda, India’s ancient medical science, health problems show up in people’s dreams, long before they show up in the body.  This presentation will cover some of the common dream signposts that signal upcoming health complications, making it easier to flag these ailments and potentially prevent a health crises.

Dr. Govind Prasad Agarwal

Dr. Agarwal will embark on a fascinating journey into the concept of dreams as explored in ancient Indian traditions, from the Vedic era to later philosophical and Ayurvedic texts up to the modern day. The presentation will delve into the rich insights from foundational scriptures such as the Vedas, Upanishads, and Puranas, exploring their profound interpretations of dreams as reflections of inner desires, spiritual progress, and karmic influences. Dr. Agarwal will uncover the logical and spiritual dimensions of dreaming as seen through the lens of ancient Indian wisdom. He will also shed light on how Ayurveda examines dreams in relation to mental (Manas) and physical (Sharira) health, showcasing its rational and scientific underpinnings beneath the layers of mythology. The talk will conclude with an examination of the impact of Islamic and Sufi traditions on Indian dream interpretation during the later Mughal period.

AS Katoch delves into the intersection of Indian miniature painting with dreams, divination, and metaphysics. These artworks, from dream manuals to devotional pieces, serve as portals into Indic cosmologies, where the numinous and astrological converge. Through select works, Katoch guides the audience through India’s imaginal landscapes, revealing how dreams visually shape and reflect cultural interpretations within the Indian imagination and its rich visual idioms.

Exploring the untapped potential of dreamwork in leadership development, this presentation delves into how dreams can serve as a transformative tool for fostering self-awareness, creativity, and resilience in leaders. Advocating for the decolonization of leadership practices, the presentation emphasizes the importance of integrating dreamwork—long valued in non-Western and Indigenous traditions—into contemporary leadership development. The presentation introduces the Dream Insight Framework, a practical and potent guide that supports leaders to tap into the wisdom of their dreams and focuses on reimagining leadership through the lens of dreamwork, encouraging a shift from solely rational strategies to a more holistic approach that embraces the profound insights offered by the dreaming mind.
